The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an application layer protocol that facilitates the exchange of management information between network devices. It is part of the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) protocol suite. SNMP enables network administrators to manage network performance, find and solve network problems, and plan for network growth.

SNMP is an excellent module to have enabled on your cPanel server if you're using the Hybodus Network Monitoring script. With SNMP enabled you can view a servers disk space usage, bandwidth and many other useful stats that you normally couldn't without this enabled.



Having this enabled is another step forward to making configuring your servers a faster process.
